Well, if this isn't the final birthday present for shorty, I don't know what else I can do.... :D:D:D

I am very very happy to announce that the First Annual SM LAN will be held in Warren, MI on May 28th, 29th, and 30th 2004.

Let's get this whole thing rolling again.

Major announcement on the general forums to follow tonight.

Also, the space is larger, and I believe we can now have 60 people in attendance instead of 40.

Anyone going to this thing from Ottawa? Flying is an option, but I don't want to take the chance of customs seizing my computer thinking it's a portable nuke or something.

I don't think there would be a problem with shipping it via UPS or Fedex.

    FedEx loses/breaks the computer.

DogSoldier fills out the form: 8-way XEON board with 4GB of RAM and 8 XEON 3.06GHz CPUs. 8-way RAID 5 UWSCSI 360 with 200GB drives. ATI RADEON 9800 XT Video card + water cooling.

Will settle for full compensation or $10,000. :)

Well, better late then never, eh? ;)

We could add UT2K4 of the "supported" list of games, looks like HL2 as well!

Can't wait. I know I'll be making time for this, so I'm there fo' shizzie!

What's a waiver? Is it like a cheer leader?

EDIT: Prime, shouldn't this be in the SM LAN forum you worked so hard to create last November? :hrm:

Everyone under 18 has to have their parents sign waivers. That way if one of the little rugrats pee in their pants, SM cannot be sued.

Sounds silly, right? Well, this is America after all...

Well, that forum is for confirmed attendees.

Since this is a different date, I'll have to ask everyone to re-confirm again :(

Once you are confirmed, I'll again give you access to the attendees forum.

If you want $10k from it, it will have to be insured for that much. And when something gets insured for over $5k it gets special shipment around the building. At least it does for Ground.

Glad the ball is moving again.
