Super Slow

Got my NF7 refurb in yesterday. Finally got it setup today. :celebrate

Problem is Windows takes about 5 minutes before it shows me the login screen (W2K Pro) and another minute or two once I login before I can do anything (though I can move the mouse). Any idea what's causing this? I tried MissleMan's ACPI trick but that didn't fix it. Any ideas what's causing this? It happens even when the chip is running bone stock settings, not just when it's O/C'd.

BTW, I'm using one of the 1800+ DLT3C chips I had laying around. I've gotten it to 2.5GHz @ 1.825v (I think I'm gonna back it down though, a vCore that high concerns me and it's not stable--Prime95 fails almost immediately, even though other programs don't seem affected). Maybe I can get 2.4GHz stable with something like 1.75v or so. :):fold::fold::fold:

Damn. I don't know then. I was going to suggest turning off VPU recover, which has caused weird things on my machines, but if it's not an ATi card...

Thanks for trying to help, Geeky. :)
It doesn't much matter, I guess because for the time being it's only a :fold: machine :D

Once I am able to get a new HD for it then it will do other stuff too. The HD I have in there runs in PIO 4 mode so it's super slow and it's only 1.5GB and is too small for me to even update to SP4 :) But I'm not going to complain about that, GHoosdum gave me the drive soley for the cost of S&H so if it weren't for him I wouldn't even have the machine up and running at all. GHoosdum!
