Took a dremel, some heavy duty cutoff wheels, a hacksaw, a pair of 12 inch UV cold cathodes, and a green 120MM uv reactive case fan and made them all play nicely together. The end result is a hole in the side pannel of my lian li PC71 that sits right over the CPU and blasts it with up to 69 CFM of cool air. Rigged the fan upto one of the variable ports on my Zalman fan controller, and the lights to one of the 7/12V switches on the same zalman controller. Still waiting on the final numbers on what it's done to my cpu temps, but so far it looks like a 4 or so °c drop. Running 36°c under full load while overclocked from 2.6 to 3.134.

Looks good. Oh, btw, moving the ram sticks over one slot *might* help drop cpu temps a bit. If the ram is close enough to the heatsink, it'll interfere with the flow of exhaust air. It might be worth trying...

Still working on some night shots, it's not quite the effect that I was hoping for because of all the LED fans in there now anyways.
Geeky1, next time I have it apart I'll give it a shot and see if it will help any more.
And yes, 6 internal hard drives, 2 internal cd drives, with an external usb 2.0 hard drive and an external usb 2.0 dvd drive on my desk.

Six it is - I counted the sets of screws on the bottom row of five. I was counting the old-school molex adapters and missed the SATA drive.

As did I prof. I'm showing my age. I still dwell in the land of parallel drives.
