    WAIT!!!

While you have selected good parts for a decent system I feel that you could do better by either getting your friend to hold off a couple months when the new socket 939 and its products are out or going with an NF2 system to get more bang for your buck. Or as much as it pains me to say this; you can put together a killer P4 system for that budget.

OK, I opened the can, so let the worms and dirt fly! ;)

Which Kingwin? The KT-424 is an excellent case but the other one they offer isn't that great...If it's the 424 I'd say got for it, if not consider spending a few extra bucks and get it instead.
    Here's some linkage http://www.kingwin.com/pdut_detail.asp?LineID=&CateID=1&ID=152

Here's what I'd get. The case is my new favorite, considering that Antec has discontinued the SX-1240. It's got the best cooling I've found yet, and the power supply that comes with it should be very, very, VERY good. It's a 350w Fortron Source unit (look at the part number on the PS in the picture at newegg... that FSP stands for Fortron Source) and will be more than enough for this system.
