i have seen these type of hs before and a couple of other that TT makes. Does anyone have these type of hs on their system? They do look kind of cool, but i would like to know how well they cool b/f i would buy one(even if i get it just for fun).

Thermaltake doesn't make any heatpipe heatsinks. There are a number on the market, including the Thermalright SP-97/94, but Aerocool probably has more than any other manufacturer. Aerocool has the DP-101, DP-102, and HT-101. All 3 are excellent heatsinks. The HT-101 and DP-102 are basically equivalent to a SLK-900 or SP-97/94. The DP-101 is basically equivalent to a SLK-800 or maybe a SLK-900.
the one i saw is here: http://thermaltake.com/coolers/cl-p0025/cl-p0025silentTower.htm
its not the same as the aerocool but it the same style, with 6 heatpipes running all the way up, aluminum fins, and 2 fans(one on each side).
i think i would rather stick to a Thermalright slk900 or sp94 heatsink on my cpu to cool it. i was just saying that if i would get one i probably put it in my second system to have my friends think its cool.

If you'll excuse me, I have to go extract my foot from my mouth... You got Thermaltake to do that just to spite me, didn't you?
I don't know about the Thermalright one... I didn't even know it existed. It looks like it has potential, though.
you're excused...at first i thought i was wrong so i double checked where i had seen it, and yeah it was Tt.
I just read what you posted about the aerocool ripping off the socket on a mobo, which kind of makes me put off even buying one(for whichever system, main or secondary).
To tell you the truth i hacked into Tt website and loaded that page just so i could prove you wrong. im joking of course.

Heh. That's part of the reason why I haven't bought one yet. Although, you could always make a mounting clip that uses the 4 bolt holes for it, but that's more effort than I feel like going to.
