Ah, there goes my self-esteem. Well, not really. I'm not the touchy-feely-emotionally-wimpy type. Actually, I'm enjoying watching Witenoiz' volcano build higher and higher every day as he covers his Pompei competition with ash and lava.

witenoiz, There are three sure things in life: Death, Taxes, and you're going to pass me.
Two of them happen right around April 15th. I hope I don't hit the trifecta...

profdlp You are one of the reasons things work so well here. When I first joined and made 1,000 points you did your thing and I have watched as you have recognized so many many team mates in every step forward. There are many other leaders of this team, but you I hold up to high esteem. Still, I am going to trample all over you! :celebrate But Hay, this is Leonardo's thing - I was just giving full support in recognition to his upcoming conquests. Ash and Lava indeed - Jack

Not to worry, Marc. When I leave the Army around the first of September, my office machines will probably no longer be folding. You see, I'm the system administrator for our automation by default, as no one else is particulary computer literate. Actually I'm the "Information Assurance Security Officer"; just an additional duty for me so that someone at the office is on the official 'blame line'. Not that big of a deal, as we are only a five-person office. If it weren't several hundred miles to our nearest headquarters, I wouldn't even have the IASO function. By policy and regulation, only approved software can be installed on our Army computers. Fortunately, I'm the approving authority. In short, I don't know if the person who assumes my system admin duties will keep Folding updated and running. So, you've only got to keep a close eye on me until September.
Now speaking of sys admin, here's the crude but effective setup for the recently added machines that have been boosting my production:
2 X Laptop, Gateway, P4 Centrino, 1300MHz
3 X Dell Octiplex, P4 2.8GHz
Presently all these machines are networked in my personal office via an 24-port switched hub. Internet connection is via shared dialup with one of the laptops, which is configured to auto-dial when the connection is lost! Why use one of the laptops for shared internet? It has an internal dialup modem, which is the only spare we have in the office. Ha ha - crude, but it works
We do have strands of fiber optic coming in to our building. It's just a matter of time until I distribute the computers around to the other members of our office...when the contractors finally set up our LAN. It's a bit more complicated for us, as we have pretty heavy security considerations that most businesses do not.
wtf, just stumbled upon this thread with my name in the title, I see I have been passed oh well I'm losing boxes like crazy, havent been doing regular check ups so my production has gone to like 2500+/wk to like 1200/wk at some points
I also just noticed that we have dropped to 9th place, when did this happen?
Way to go Leo. Been following the threads with much amusement. Got to love the friendly rivalry, hehehe. Sally (Jonshandbrake) is also slowly but surely heading your way. By the end of next month she will be in the top 100. So you guys best keep an eye in your mirrors in the not too distant future, hehehe.

Ah, I'm just holding this tiger's tail as long as I can. When I leave the Army in mid-August, I'll no longer have control over my bevy of P4's at the office. :bawling:
