AOL to give away spammers car

edited April 2004 in Science & Tech
AOL obtained a 2002 Porsche Boxster S from settling a lawsuit against "a guy who by our estimates made more than a million dollars from spamming," said Randall Boe, AOL executive vice president and general counsel.

[blockquote]The sweepstakes is open until April 8. Adult AOL members living in the continental United States are eligible and they can only enter online. The contest is open only to those who were AOL subscribers before the sweepstakes opened Tuesday.

Talk about hitting a guy in the nutz! But we all know the spammers deserve it, at least AOL is doing something right ....

Oh no, he wasn't hit in the nuts. Hitting him in the nuts would be tying him down and making him watch someone destroy his car with say, a sledgehammer and an axe. THAT would be hitting him in the nuts.

Unfortunately, it's a Porsche, so as much as I'd love to see this guy suffer, I couldn't do that. Killing a Porsche is one of the 7 deadly sins (along with killing a Mercedes, a BMW, etc.)

Yeah, destroying property like that isn't the prudent thing to do. Now if it were a Yugo.....

Ah, but destroying a Yugo is grounds for a Nobel prize or something...
