cpu or mobo

ive had both for a while.ad they have both done fine..here r thr symptons
1) my comp started to lock up
2) WHEN I rebooted...the fans went on etc
3) i didnt see any video output
4) changed vid cards same problem
5) unplugged ram...i got a certain beep
6) unplugged vid card...got a certain beep
7) put both in....no beep
8) took cpu out...no beep....

what do u ppl think??? mobo or cpu

    AFAIK, you don't get a beep code w/o the cpu. It could be either one... do you have another cpu/mb to try it in?

    If memory serves, you dont get any beep code with no CPU. You best bet is to try a spare cpu in the board and start from there.

    Make sure that you have plugged in the motherboard-

    CPU
    Memory
    Video Card
    PSU

    Nothing else.

    ive done all that and such :( UGHHH!!! sumtimes i hate intel...no wait...lemme rephrase that... I ALWAYS hate intels...for sum reason they keep fuxoring up on me...i dont know whyyyy damn AMD gods

    Take out the RAM and see if it gives you bleep codes.

    yup...the beep codes r there when there is no ram present

    Send the system to me :D I'll fix it and then put it to folding like it should be!

    Do you have a clear BIOS jumper on the mobo? If not, take the battery out for a few seconds.

    Any other peripherals plugged in?
    Are you sure the PSU didn't go bad?
