changing home page
My hompage keeps changing to res://mshp.dll/index.html#22776.
Reading a previous response I have downloaded hijackthis and attached is the log file (in doc format)
It has discovered a lot of files, and I'm not sure which ones to fix. Can anyone help ?
Also, my IE 'hangs' quite a bit. Would this be fixed as well with hijackthis ?

You'll want to reboot, then try running HJT again. You might also want to run [url=http://209.133.47.200/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe
]CWShredder[/url]. I think that MSSEARCH.DLL is a CoolWebSearch baddie.
After everything looks good, rerun HJT and report your log file. Then run SpywareBlaster
I'll try it and and get back.
below is the new log file ..

Also ... would the IE 'haning' problem be due to this as well ?
Thanks for your help again !
Also, if you are running Windows XP, now that you have cleaned out some trash, make a new System Restore Point, in case you have to use your system restore to recover form a crash, you don't want the last restore point to come back, as it will have all that trash in it again.
Dexter...
IE hanging seems to have gone away for a while as well .... touch wood !
