Radeon 9200 or FX5200?

I'm trying to find a comparative review of these two video cards. Is there one out there? What is your opinion, which is the better performer? I'm speaking of the 128MB version of either card...

I know the 9200 is a dx 8.1 card, and the 5200 is a dx 9 card, both have DVI out, etc... which is better?

neither is good. go with a GeForce 4 Ti4200 128MB for around $105. Even though it is only DX8.0, it is much faster than either of those cards for not much more money.

Point well made. I concur with the suggestion.

As stated, the 9200 and the 5200 are both not very good cards. Your best bet in the ~$100 range is a Ti4200; between $50 and 100, a Radeon 8500 (if you can still find one; try ebay, newegg has some refurbished LEs in stock right now too...) is the best choice...

also, the 9100 is a rebadged 8500, so if you can find one of those, it's ok for around $60-80

Thank you folks for all your help! That does indeed answer the question, because "both are garbage" is a lot more helpful overall than telling me which piece of garbage to buy.

I'll start looking for an 8500LE for my secondary rig...

Hey guys... does anyone know of, or have a chart or layout of the current GFX Cards that show which is stronger then the next...

    IE:
    GF4Ti4200
    GF4Ti4400
    GF4Ti4600

etc... including the ATi Cards of course.

Mackanz, the only place that I've seen refurbished video cards is Newegg, and, as I'm pretty sure you know, they don't do international shipping.
