hey, got an old machine around here, but it's incredibly unstable running windows 98. on the stanford site it says only 98 and above is supported, but what if i put 95 on it ? will it run? or should i just try to get linux on there? (it's an amdk6, nonetheless it should help). thanks

I can't imagine any technical reason why F@H wouldn't work on 95 if it works on 98. I could be wrong though....

    I'd give Linux a whirl.

yeh i've had linux on there before, but it's kind of a pain ... and it's ever slower w/kde than w/98 ... and i could prolly run it from just the console or w/e, without starting kde, but that's hard lol

Nah, not hard at all. If someone like me can do it, anyone can. Get yourself a distro like Slackware or Debian. They make it very easy to install a nice, lean system. In fact, I think setting it up as a console is easier than trying to configure X!

You'll never find out if you don't give it a shot. ;)
