Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+ - Any good?
I will soon be needing to consolidate some of my systems to reduce space and heat. I have been watching newegg's refurb section for (2) MSI K7D MASTER-L boards, but so far no luck.
I saw this gigabyte board today. I'm not concerned about overclocking. Does anyone have any experience with this board?

I plan to get 4 of these processors. Does anyone know if this board will support these Bartons?

I have 2 x 2800+ MP processors running in mine. Remember...REG ECC ram. Any combination of 1-4 dimms and there is no benefit with 2 or 4 as with dual channel boards.
The PROMISE onboard RAID (In ATA or RAID mode) may be a little cranky on you. The audio is OK but somewhere above plain bad. Get a M-AUDIO REVOLUTION if you want really good sound or get cheaper, OEM ENVY chipped card for better audio than the onboard sound.
I'm still in wish mode, but that could change quickly.
EDIT: One thing the Chaintech requires is registered ddr, unlike the Asus and MSI boards. Even if you are only putting in 1 or 2 dimms, registered is required. It also has the same Promise controller that the Gigabyte board has too.
I'm using the 7DPXDW in my office, dual MP 1900+ , and 2x512MB KVR ECC PC2100.
rock solid, very stable, the promise controller is OK, setting as raid1.
bad overclocker perhaps it's the CPU and the cheap RAM...
