Sorry I know I just posted a thread here. Anyways if I do end up having to get a new case for my motherboard, which size do i need to get?

My P4P800-e deluxe is quite a bit taller than my old dell motherboard.

The newegg sizes go as ATX (mid-tower, full tower), and then microATX (mid-tower, mini-tower).

I really don't know what size my dell tower is.

Thanks

Just make sure that you do NOT use the Dell power supply with that motherboard. Dell PSUs have proprietary pinouts on their power connectors, and if you plug them into a non-dell motherboard, you will fry the motherboard.

You'll need an ATX case with good cooling and a good power supply.

Glad you brought that up, prime. Anyone who replaces a Dell psu or mobo needs to change the other part out too or they will blow their brand new board (or psu).

actually, some P4 Dell computers use standard ATX PSU, like the 4300 Dimension model that I have

    guess I won't need a new PSU

Must be something new that Dell has started doing then.
