Ok, I conjured this idea up from.. Well I don't know where from.. Anyway, I tried it in the first instance and it came out SHABBY.. And this is our second attempt with a bit better photoshopping done by me.. However, I found out that I actually suck at PS!
Anyway, we went for the old school horror style picture... Yes, the lighting could be better but I'm waiting for our triggers and umbrella to arrive before I can get the lighting much better.. What do you guys/gals think..
You know, my typical response to photography (or any other visual art) is "meh." I can appreciate the talent of a well-composed shot, but I rarely identify with the piece, nor am I frequently struck with an emotional response of some kind.
With that preface out of the way, I want to say: That lightbulb shot is fucking rad.

The first here, is an artistic photo fail. This is my sister Ellen. I wanted to get a shot of her with petals falling all around. We grabbed a handful of purple heather from our mom's bushes and basically just tossed it on her.
I think we finally decided to shake a tree with petals gently, but all the fun was in failing so many times while throwing crap at her
The next isnt the greatest picture i've taken by far, but I love color. With all the warm weather coming out, looking at this picture and the colors just make me happy.
Art Photography also includes even the very abstract or disturbing images too. The only one I can think of was this massive A3 size book from readers digest we had. had the most awesome wildlife photos in it..

AND something my g/f did when she was bored one night without me (i'm proud)..
Could I get that in high res? I think it would make a great background.

Haha, thanks Thrax.. I appreciate it!
Blew out the highlights, unfortunately. Panorama of 5 shots because I just had my 50mm prime on my camera

I've nearly run out of space on my normal account on Flickr
