HJT log - Pop_up problems

Symptoms:

- I'm getting popups even though running Google toolbar with popup blocker enabled. It used to take care of all popups but no more.
- random links appear on web pages where they shouldn't be, and they link to adsrve sites. For example, if any text on the page contains letters "hot" or "car" they might be linked to www.adsrve.com with a redirect to an ad site.
- occasionally when browser window is opened I get "Internet connection not available. Would you like to work offline?" but if I tell it to retry the browser opens to my normal home page. In these cases...
- adsrve task shows up on taskbar with no associated window
- occasionally Norton Anti-virus shows an alert on the "vbs.redlof.a" virus (it's a file named that). Complete system scan shows no viruses and the file keeps showing back up after deletion. Seems like a red herring??

So far I have:

- removed a couple of adware toolbars that had somehow installed themselves
- removed pgate basic
- run spybot and ad-aware (and let them clean up what they found)
- got all Windows critical updates installed

Here is my HiJack This log. TIA!!

I've noticed that the Norton virus warning for vbs.redlof.a appears when an adsrve popup appears, religiously!

Also, just wanted to make sure you saw in the first post, THANKS IN ADVANCE for any and all assistance. I've already gotten a lot of good info by reading other posts but am no expert on this stuff so appreciate the help.

Uninstalled MemoryWatch as suggested above, and found a few more things to clean up using Housecall. But the same problems still persist. Can someone please take a look at this Hijack This log and help me out? I appreciate any assistance.

You'll need to remove these as well. Boot into safe mode then rerun HiJackThis:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Bakra] C:\WINDOWS\System32\IEHost.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Dsi] C:\WINDOWS\System32\dp-him.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AutoUpdater] "C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate\AutoUpdate.exe"
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [4s9T32R] colit.exe
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: MaxSpeed (HKLM)

If you have trouble removing them through HJT, delete them manually while in safe mode. Reboot your machine and rerun HiJackThis to make sure you got everything. Install SpywareBlaster to immunize yourself against future spyware problems.

    Thank you thank you!

That seems to have done the trick, along with one last pass with Ad-Aware and Spybot. I've also installed spywareblaster as you suggested. So far all the weird stuff is gone!
