Anyone who has a digital camera knows they chew through batteries like nobody's business. My own Canon A80 will eat through 4 x AA regular batteries in about 50 shots. Slurp.

I've been searching around for rechargeable battery deals. Which is the best or where's a good price? I can across this article.

It shows POWEREX as being ranked number one. For Canadians (& US & UK) they are available here in several types of bundles.

These are the more expensive batteries but I figure I'll pick up the 8 x AA/4 x AAA configuration. Two sets for the camera and one set of AAA for my honkin' big TV remote. About $100 CAD. If you don't have rechargeable batteries for your digital camera...get a set. Maybe not these but get a set.

Is there a big difference between 2200 Mah and 1850? Probably in amount of shots (how long the batteries last) You can probably find ENERGIZER rechargeables for a lesser price. The best price I could find for a charger and 4 AA batteries was around $60. When you add the extra two sets...you are pretty well at the POWEREX cost.

Okay...At the other end of the scale getting into the low cost area I did find this site:

https://www.powerplanet.ca/catalog/

These are generic batteries and you get what you pay for. How good are these batteries? Don't know but a read of the battery roundup (link above) will give you some insight)

As a Canadian...I'd go with the POWEREX as a first choice but if $$ is a concern then I'd look to the 1850 ENERGIZER batteries to save some bucks.

Just thought all of you would appreciate some info on this. The Powerex is the best price I've found for those batteries and if you buy from the US (Being Canadian) you only save $7 which will soon be surpassed by duty and shipping so there's no saving there. That Pauls Finest site is CAD/USA/UK based so shipping is from within the country you order I believe.

    These are generic batteries
That really wouldn't concern me that much. There are only a handful of battery manufacturers. Most of the time, generic and store brand batteries are merely relabeled major brand.

I've had Duracell rechargeables since I got my Canon A70 almost a year ago. They are simply AWESOME, I have never run out of charge - even after the camera lies around with no use for weeks I can head out and get as many pics as I need without having to recharge first.
