Hi there,
I'm having a problem removing the Omegasearch browser hijacker from my computer. I've tried a number of times to remove the pest but I must be overlooking something. Any other advice on what to remove from the log would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced for your help.

    Disable system restore, reboot in safe mode, then delete the following entries:

    Remove the following items in safe mode:

    Gaobot virus

    Possibly a dialer, but also could be CoolWebSearch

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [olehelp] C:\Program Files\Common Files\svchost.exe
    O16 - DPF: {10000000-1000-0000-1000-000000000000} - file://C:\Program Files\Common Files\svchost.exe
    CoolWebSearch variant. Run CWShredder to make sure. Please report your results back here if CWShredder found anything.

    Thanks Guys,
    I had already tried topherice's suggestion so i tried it again but Omega was still present. Mr Kwitko's suggestion did the trick....I also ran CWShredder and it was clear.
