HijackThis Log and so on. (Help needed!!)

Recently I've been having many problems with my computer that I haven't had since I've gotten the computer. My computer has been running a lot slower than normal, though it has a really small amount of RAM (384MB total, 64mb Video Card), though lately it seems I have 1 MB when running even the smallest of programs that I used to be able to run smoothly with 256MB RAM. If anyone could help me out, and take a look at my Hijack This Log, and perhaps give me more troubleshooting suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Short-Media, PowerHungry. You've got a lot of stuff in there. If you've got other people using your machine, ban them from it until they learn better habits. If it's just you, well then we need to sit down and have a long talk about safer browsing habits.

Before starting, make sure you place HiJackThis in its own folder in case we have to restore from the backups.

Reboot into safe mode, run HiJackThis, and delete the following:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.websearch.com/ie.aspx?tb_id=40
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\ihc.dll/sp.html (obfuscated)

Real Player updater. A waste of resources and can be safely deleted.

I'm not too keen on this popup blocker. Seems a little sketchy to me. You could do the same with Google toolbar (free) or Mozilla Firefox (free). Optional delete.

    O16 - DPF: {9C691A33-7DDA-4C2F-BE4C-C176083F35CF} (brdg Class) - http://www2.flingstone.com/cab/2000XP/new/bridge.cab

As I said, you've got a lot of spyware on this machine. You should evaluate your surfing habits or limit who has access to your PC. I suggest running Ad-Aware and/or Spybot after you clean up your log. Install SpywareBlaster to immunize your machine from further infections. All 3 programs can be found here.

Please post your log after you're finished so we can make sure you got everything.

    How is this?

    Hello,

I found the answer to fix the about:blank virus. I got the virus on my computer about a week ago and tried everything. I finally found the solution: you need to run CWShredder in safe mode. Safe Mode being the key. I ran it in regular mode first and it didn't fix the problem, then I ran it in SAFE MODE and I haven't had a problem since. Give it a try and see what happens. Don't forget, run CWShredder in SAFE MODE.

    Link for CWShredder:

Access Safe Mode by hitting F8 while computer is starting.
