    Grado SR60 (open ear)
    Sennheiser HD 497 (open ear)
    Sennheiser HD 570 (open ear)
Sennheiser HD 212 pro (sealed ear)

You can find any of those for around 50 bucks.

I've got the zalman 5.1's and love them. They block out the entire world and do make a big difference when it comes to the surround sound. They make a big difference in games that require some stealth like the R6 games. The only thing that I would have liked would be an inline volume control.

    Sennheisers, hands down.

It depends on whether or not u have an existing kickass sound card.

The quality (construction) of those are kind of cheap and plasticy. Feels like they could easily break in your hands with medium force. Good headset though.

If you are looking for good sound, Sennheiser or Grado (kinda ugly, but sounds great) definitly. Stay away from the higher end Sennheisers, you wont get any better sound out of them without an amp, I have HD 580's, and when I take them off my amp, they sound about the same as my roommates HD 497's. The HD 497s are pretty nice though. You might be able to find HD 570's on ebay for around 60 bucks, those would probably be your best buy.

Sennheiser. Which one is kind of secondary.
