    I'm flat-ass broke. :(

Looking for a job this summer, hoping I won't end up at Wendy's or some lame **** despite my 2 page resume.

Hey man, don't knock it! Wendy's has good fries!

Bah, we all had crap jobs for our first few jobs. I didn't get a computer job until my 5th job.

Definitely a single pager, and if you are looking for several different kinds of work you would do equally well, try more nthan one resume by area of work you could do. A polite cover letter helps a LOT, also.

Basically, they guess at and quickly judge your overall attitude by how you say what you say in letter and resume. THEN they look at skills versus what they need. THEN they take one out of tten resumes sometimes, check references. THEN they take one out of ten of those, and interview. You can legitimately puff yourself a bit in a cover letter, and can highlight things you document in a checkable way in a short resume. The resume is just to get you an interview or followup phone call and then an interview, then if they ask about things during interview, have stuff you DID along with you at interview in a briefcase or backpack that they can look at.

Resume alone never got me a job. It has HELPED open communications that have led to work, though, a LOT.

I spent my work life in two arenas:

Sales, at many sorts of retail places.

    IT work.

I had a focused resume for each.

Thread hijackings are a constant threat on S-M, especially in the Case Modding & Cooling forums... ;D;D:hiding:

Yes, yes. I keep it at one page, I was merely stating my listing of job experience, education, and accomplishments comprises two pages.

    /end hijack.

Citrix, is it sold to Gnome or is it still for sale? That would definetly be fun to play with, and a damn good price too.

I was just checking, Gnome, since Citrix hadn't edited his original post to show "SOLD". ;)

I had sworn off buying anything major for my computer and folding addiction, but this was just too good to pass up. I would have worked an extra couple of days for this deal. :)
