Forum Links off the main page

Go to the main page. Select Forums from the left hand menu. The forums pop-up in a new window.

Now go to the main page again. Select Forums from the top menu. The forums open in the existing menu.

Is this by design, or by oversight?

    I vote they be opened in the same window. I usually finish with the main page, and then go onto the forums w/o ever thinking of returning back to the main for another day.

    Didn't we discuss this before? I'm pretty sure the consensus was "open in same window".... I swear we've had this discussion before.....

    Personally, I like "Same Window." If I want a new window, I'll shift-click it. So unless you *want* people to keep the main page open (ie, to drive up the view time counter.....;)
