    Welcome to s-m!

    If you haven't done so yet, please download and install adaware and spybot S&D from the link in my sig. Update them and then run them both. Then repost a hijackthis log. Doing so will make it much easier to sort through your log.

    It appears all that remains is Omegasearch. First make sure that you have placed HiJackThis in its own folder so you can restore from backups if needed. Next, boot into safe mode and delete the following:

    There's a possibility you'll have to manually delete the items if they don't show up in the scan while in safe mode. If that's the case, do a search for internetpoll.dll and delete it and its folder manually.

    After you're finished, I would add, at a minimum, a weekly scan of your system using Ad-Aware and/or Spybot to your maintenance routine. Next, install SpywareBlaster, which is used to immunize your PC against further spy/mal/ad-ware attacks. You can find it on the same page as the other downloads. You might also want to look into using alternative to Internet Explorer, like Netscape/Mozilla or Opera.

    reboot your computer and press F8 repeatedly, before the windows logo comes up, it should give you a bunch of choices of how you want to boot, and simply pick safe mode.

    I'd suggest fixing your omegasearch problem and then downloading mozilla.

    i got another question. Could omega search be messing up my Final Fantasy XI ? When I Open it there is a main opening that closes then opens again. Well instead of opening again it minimizes and will not come up. Does this sound like it could be caused by Omega?

    Doubtful, but remove Omegasearch and see if it still happens.

    If you are referring to the ONLINE mode, this is a possibility:

    Do you have a pop-up stopper installed? I'm thinking that:

    Has a built in pop-up stopper, right?

    Don't touch that entry in HJT, but just disable the pop-up stopper when you go to play FFXI.
