right now it's cloudy and raining so the ambient temps are around 20C. My CPU is running at 55C full load and northbridge at 52C. Well, atleast that is what motherboard monitor says. Ok, something must be broken because it's 55 at idle as well, and the HSF is not that hot. I dunno about the temp sensors on my A7N8X. My P4 is running at 44 idle, 52 full load. The P4 can get up to 59 when it's really hot in here, but its just bad case cooling and high ambient.
Don't even start people! it's a hot day, and I prefer peace and quiet over that of low temps. I have the power, to get those temps down considerably, as my case is armed to the teeth with highpowered fans, and my CPU fan is only running at about 1800rpm, but like I said, I like peace and quiet.
system 30 degrees
ambient is approx 24
and cpu is at 56 load
now your first question might be: "well then why the hell are you folding" and my answer is that the temp is within tolerance, if it ever gets to 65 it'll shut down, and i think its either because the p4 shim or the slk-900 are concave.
I'm glad Al_Capown started the thread! Had I not started up the USDM (EPoX's system monitor, just to be different :bigggrin: ), I wouldn't have noticed that I had turned off my folding!
So, these are my temps without folding being on: (as you can see, my CPU is at +0.25 volts and my RAM is at +0.1 volts)
TheBaron said wait how do you read CPU Ext and CPU Die ... I guess my real question is whats the difference (looking at hypermood's post)
The difference is, I am presuming, the 'die' reading is for the internal temp sensor of the CPU, and the 'ext' is the temp sensor on the motherboard just below the CPU. Some motherboards, especially older ones, don't have the ability to read the internal sensor on modern CPU's, but if your motherboard is capable, then any half descent application like motherboard monitor should be able to read it.
hey mudd, i'm liking those temps... they're making me mighty happy.
Just got a SLK800 from a friend which he lapped really well and haven't pushed the chip much at all
2174MHz (12x180)
40* full load (motherboard monitor)
27* case temp
23* ambient

heh, MBM is wrong, it says Degrees Farienheight, but there is no such thing.
Anyway,
My machine...
49 'c Proc
35'c Mobo
Server -
54'c Proc
55'c Mobo
Keep in mind that it is about 35'c outside and even hotter in here. Its hard to breath.....

Full load since about 4 months back. Gromacs.
Here is a good converter from C to F or F to C:

FYI NS, there is an option on MBM to remove the degree symbol.

CPU: 39c - Full Load/Folding
Ambient: 28c
Taken using MBM5 through Coolmon.
That's an XP1700 @ 2300 (11.5 x 200) cooled by an sk-7/Tt Smart Fan II on the medium setting
System 40ºC
Damn heatwaves.. need better cooling
Case is usually around 38°
the system is watercooled, but needs to be refilled and have the low flow fans changed to some higher flow ones to move more air through the rad
Mobo: 38C (no A/C, Argh!)
Room Temp -> 25°C
Case Temp -> 26°C
P4 2266 @ 2907 Idle -> 31°C
P4 2266 @ 2907 Full Load -> 37°C
Gotta love the power of the 92mm Tornado, a SLK-900U & AS3.
CPU - 48
MB - 33
The CPU has risen 3-4 degrees in the last month. Time to clean out the dust .

Folding 24/7 in 82 F room
most other rigs are high 50s cause I don't use case fans - just leave side panel off in 72 F room (work)
Room temp 27C
It looks to be around 8-12 C difference in temp when folding and only around 2 C difference when the proc is idle(which is very rare, in my case).

Sensor 1 is case ambient. Sensor 2 is the CPU and I have no idea what Sensor 3 is (D875PBZ board from MicronPC)
My main rig runs at about 45C (CPU) and 28C (Ambient) at full load. About 40C idle.
