Strange temperature readings and fan RPMs? Tyan S2466 MPX

I'm getting some strange temperature and fan RPM readins in both the Tyan system monitor as well as motherboard monitor 5.x.. I have a pair of TMD fans cooling athlon mp 1800+'s.. CPU temperature seems to be registering correctly at around 46 degrees on each processor, however fan RPM and well as case/VRM temperature seem to be double what they should be. I'm certain they should be a lot lower. case temp is registering at over 77 degrees (should be around 43-44), and cpu fan RPM is registering at over 8500+ rpm. VRM temperature displays properly in the Tyan monitor, however even in the Tyan utility, the CPU rpm is still incorrect. I used to run a pair of delta fans that really did run at 8000+ rpm, however these TMDs are only 4500 rpm models. My voltage levels are within spec as well.

Any suggestions?

Looks like I figured it out.. had to change the fan type to "/2" in Motherboard monitor, and it seems fine. Also, the temp sensor for the case was set to "Combo", I had to change it to "Diode" and everything seems fine now :)

If anyone else is having a problem like this, let me know and I'll give more details.

What version of MBM are you running? It sounds like you've got it sorted, but I'd get the latest version of MBM, install it, update it with the config utility, and set the config utility to your board.
