ASUS warn against www.r9800xt.com & www.asustek.org.uk (Avnet Micro LTD).

A visit to http://uk.asus.com/ reveals a popup with this message:
"Please be advised that ASUSTeK Computer, Inc. (ASUS) did not authorize and is not in anyway related to the following websites. Nor did ASUS authorize the registration of the related domain names. Therefore, ASUS disclaims responsibiity and/or liability for any services and/or goods offered through such website:
www.asustek.org.uk or www.r9800xt.com."
Short-Media has had quite a few postings from both guests and members from the UK (and beyond) regarding these sites and their company (Avnet Micro LTD), no deliveries, no refunds and money stolen

    In addition to this I have had email from the Vice President of Avnet Technology Solutions a division of Avnet Inc. He confirmed that Avnet Micro Ltd website www.r9800xt.com was NOTHING to do with Avnet Inc and were investigating the matter!

    Ive slightly edited the newspost to make sure that it has the word LTD in it :)

    Good Avnet Tech are going to pursue this as well, can we say "lawyer" money? :)
