Unless he is using some sort of auto overclocking? like a 20% overclock? But then how would he adjust the FSB ... hrm.

In the Bios setting, the Oc is set on 20% (Bravo) and on Turbo.

well but then how the hell does he lower JUST the 200 to 187 - this doesn't click right with me
Latest info - I reduced it again to 180

rather than reduce that to 180, keep it at 200. reduce the auto-oc from 20%. when you get the new cpu cooler, bump it back up

    I reduced it to 10%,
increased it back to 200 and put the Vcore on Auto.
Freq is at 3080.30 instead of 3361
Idle temp has reduced to 47c - 49c
    Thanks for the tip

Now I have to wait for the HS and this should certainely help.

    actually, something i noticed

your system is running with your ram on a 5:4 divider, which means that your ram is being run at an fsb of 4/5 of what your cpu is. however, the bios oc utilitiy that you're using seems to lock your fsb while somehow raising your cpu frequency. long story short, try setting your ram at 1:1 with your cpu. you have pc3200, or ddr400 ram, that you're only running at ddr320 speeds

The question begs to be asked:

Niaxous, why did the computer shop overclock your computer? Seems strange they would do that. You also stated that one time your computer was at the shop for six weeks. If I were you, I'd definitely look for a new shop.

Of course, a better alternative would be to hang out around us, and learn to do it all yourself!

    Hit the printscreen button.
Open up paint and paste the picture in there.
    Crop what you want.
Save as png, gif, or jpg.

Because when they saw there was a OC utility in the Bios, they wanted to "experiment".
It was clear that buying a 2.8E and Oc'ed it to 3.36 was interessting

I will chose your alternative because I have learned alot here + the advise on this site was well above standards.
I've always chosen the systems components and build it up with a friend.
It was the first time (and the last) I will give my pc to a shop.
This experience has given me the envy of trying it out on the next system (for my girlfiend) and Oc'ing it for fun.

Checked the Bios settings this is what I found:

I have DDR 400 ram and I guess it must be pc3200

    Configure Dram Timings: Enabled
    Memory Acceleration mode : Auto
    Dram Idle Timer: Auto
    Dram Refresh Rate : Auto

I couldn't figure out where to change this
