I did not see a thread dedicated to bugs with SP2 yet so I thought I would start one.

Mouse pointer "crawls" after stoping

As Soon as the Service pack finished insatalling I went to click OK or Finish or whatever it said and noticed that my mouse pointer had crawled out of the box. I have had this optical mouse on the machine for 6 months and never had a problem. It seems to crawl in the direction of last movement. If you move the mouse up and stop it will wait a second and then crawl another 1/4 or 3/8 of inch in that direction. Not really a big problem but very annoying. Last night after a few ( OK several ) adult beverages, It became a real problem. Anyone else have this glitch ? Any ideas on what to do about it ? ( besides limiting the alcohol intake )

Scott

Tex, does it happen when you start Nero or when you start burning something? Running 6.3.1.17 here, no problems so far.

when you first click on it to load the full nero program not the smart start thing. So far no coasters btw..... And I don't use a lot of the drag to disk and other crap features so maybe thats whats gonna croak?. I just use the full nero burning tool to burn cd's and dvd-ram and so far it seems to work?

Another glitch found with SP2. I haven't installed it yet so I can't relay any personal experiences.

Nero 6 works fine for me. Running v6.3.1.20.

I can't get MBM to install under SP2. I've tried different compability modes but it just won't install. I know it works under SP2 once installed, but I can't get it to setup. Sadly this might be the final nail in the coffin for that program now it's no longer being developed.

    Nero v6.3.1.20
Nero is an all-in-one solution for data, audio, video, photo, and backup needs. Ahead Software has combined its best applications to satisfy all digital-media issues, making the apps accessible through Nero StartSmart, the starting point and command center for all tasks. Now you can capture, edit, author, and burn your photos and home videos without buying different software packages.

Both SafeNet and Cisco systems VPN clients cease to function when the Windows Firewall is on.

Additionally, specifying rules to allow traffic still does not make them work.

    New Problem?

I cannot get autocomplete to turn off in IE. Now, maybe i am doing something wrong, because i just reformatted and reinstalled windows with sp2, but unchecking "inline autocomplete" in the internet properties box doesnt change it. Any ideas?

I (and a few others) would suggest you use something other than IE. Besides that, go to Tools>Internet options. Go to the Content tab and click on the "AutoComplete" button under Personal information. From there you can decide what to use AutoComplete for, if anything. You can also tell it to clear autocomplete history.

EDIT: BTW, Inline AutoComplete is for the address bar only.
