Since your brother obviously has no concern about where he surfs, you're going to have to work harder to keep him from reinfecting your machine. Step one is to use what's called a HOSTS file. The HOSTS file is used by an OS to map websites to certain IP addresses. By mapping spyware sites to local or nonexistent IPs, the site can't be accessed. Follow the instructions on installing the HOSTS file at the link above.

Second, use SpywareBlaster. This will immunize your machine against certain spyware apps by never allowing them to be installed on your PC.

Third, since you're using Windows XP, you should be able to create password-protected accounts. Lock him out of the machine for a while until he gets the idea.
