That damn video question.. 128mb 9800 Pro or 9700 Pro?
Ok, I'm ripping my hair out with this one. I recently graduated and I've settled on getting a graphics card with the money I recieved. I've got well over the price for both (I could buy about 3 cards
) so money isn't an issue, HOWEVER, I would like to spend my money effectively since I'm trying to save for a Kawasaki motorcycle down payment.
Here's what I'm looking for: Your opinion on whether the 9700 Pro will last a year. Only a year. I can make enough money to upgrade to whatever Doom III engine ownage card is out by that time. By all benchmarks, the 9700 Pro will run all the games I have at 1024x768 with 4xAA and 8xAF, my standard resolution/settings, while easily reaching 70+ FPS (Games are Neverwinter Nights, SWG*soon*, Vice City, and some other older games which either Radeon will spank easily).
Don't have to be long. Just a few words or so.

buy TWO 9700 PROs, and send one to me.
As for the 9700 Pro vs. the Ti4600, well yea, with out eye candy the speed difference is not that great. But once you trun on AA and AF, the 9700 really pulls away from the 4600.
Silly man, he can buy 3 remember.
Send one to me too.
