I recently bought a refurbished Dell P1110 that crapped out after 2 days and am hot to get something new (WITH A FULL WARRANTY). So I have been looking and decided to move down to a 19" as a new 21" would be too much. I am real interested in this ViewSonic P95F+B 19" PerfectFlat CRT and would like some input or recomendations on what would be the best without breaking the bank.

I like ViewSonic monitors. I have one for myself and one at home for the family. The E75f that I have is the fastest I have even seen a CRT monitor turn on. Cold its only like 2-3 secs and its full color.

Just bought one to take with me to college. Overall, it's a good monitor, I only have one problem with mine. For some reason that I have yet to figure out, at 1600x1200 and higher resolutions, the cursor actually gets narrower if you move it to the extreme right hand side of the screen. It doesn't show up in screenshots, it's done it on two windows installs, and I've played with all of the settings on the monitor to no avail. Other than that, it's a good monitor.

Where'd you get the monitor from mtgoat?

Geeky: if it's getting messed up in screenshots, i'ts not the monitor, but prolly the video card.

So then why did you bring it up in the first place?

...Boy, I sure love this cool, dry air in here... :grr:

    Because it's a monitor issue.

If you mean the refurbed Dell, I got it from Fry's locally. I had also bought a 2 year extended warranty for $20 since it only came with a 90 day one. It looked good the first day at home then it got all fuzzy and dark. I then remembered a thread about Sony service and decided to move on to new pastures.

If I get the Viewsonic, it will be ordered from Newegg. I like the flat rate $25 3 day shipping on it.

Could go with Merkortech, less you're really that set on getting a brand new monitor.
