Do they work?
Are they worth it?
Especially if you have Three 512 DDR's 2700??
Would that be too crowded if i added them?
& are they better for double-sided chipsets? or Single? Or Both actually?
Thanxz...

They're a waste of money. Purely cosmetic.

    No and No.

After-market RAM heatspreaders are a bad idea. They don't cool effectively without thermal compound (tape sucks), and if you do a crappy job applying thermal compound it'll toast your RAM. You also have to use thermal epoxy on at least one chip to hold the heatspreaders on. Even then, RAM doesn't run that hot unless you're OC'ing the heck out of it.

I've never seen single-sided RAM with heatspreaders on them.

My advice: If your RAM comes with the heatspreaders attached, don't take them off (it'll void the warranty). If it comes without heatspreaders, don't put any on (it'll void the warranty). If you're going for the bling look, Corsair sells RAM modules that have LED activity lights on the heatspreaders that are guaranteed to make your bling PC look bling bling.

If you're that worried about heat, why don't you try active cooling across your memory? A couple pieces of double-sided tape and a 60mm fan attached to the top of all 3 modules would work well to help combat heat.

For people who are using BH-5 or pushing the volts through OCZ's 3500EB/3700EB at or above 3.0v, active cooling is usually considered a necessity :)
