what are the specific differences between an ati 9800 pro and a 9800xt?

    i think there were some other minor changes too, but I can't remember what they were.

    i ask because i found a bios patch thing that will make a 9800 pro into a 9800xt. i suppose its worth a shot. i'll make a back up of the origional.

    i've got a powercolor ati radeon 9800 pro 128 bit 128 meg card. i've found sites hinting that its possible to convert it, but no real info for sure. any ideas?

    I thought the conversion could only be done on 256bit 128meg cards...

    There Is No Difference But The Speed. I Think They Build Same Chips , Run One At Lower Speed And Other At Higher Speed By Seeting In Bios.

    got any links? first time I ever hear of any 128bit conversions to anything.
