Intel created it. It had almost NO support at CeBit and those that DID support it were third-rate manufacturers virtually no one has ever heard of.
For all intents and purposes, BTX is a total flop. I'm convinced, and so are others, that it was designed solely to help the scalding Prescott not roast itself to death.

And I'm convinced, based on my experience with both of my prescotts, my northwood, and my two prestonias, that the prescott doesn't run nearly as hot as everyone says it does, and anyone that claims it runs extremely hot is either unaware of or choosing to ignore the facts.
