I've used many things in the past, but the best I've seen for quality is CDEX with the LAME settings and CODEC. It isn't the fastest, but the quality is fantastic. Many of the rippers like MMJB make crappy MP3s. If you want geeky1, I can email it to you. All together it's around 2MB. Try it out and see if it's what you'd like.
