Little tip I just thought of

I can't be the *only* one here that has extra motherboards sitting around. So I'm putting some of mine away, and I realized something; take out the CMOS batteries.

Why? Because alkaline batteries inevitably start to leak at some point, and you don't want them doing that on your motherboards. Just a thought...

Alkaline? All I see in my systems are lithum button cells. Do lithum cells even leak?

A lot of them are lithiums, but I've got some alkalines too. And yes, lithium cells can leak, they just generally take a much longer time to do so than alkalines.

If you want to be "trick" you can replace your CMOS batteries with silver cells and have a battery that's rated for 7 years.
