It works! :D

I updated the link on the team page. Here it is:

http://www.teamshort-media.com/stats/generator

The only uncertainty is whether they will automatically update from now on. I found out how to force an update and just did that, so hopefully it should be back in gear now.

TBonZ got the code together, Park got us a temporary generator built, and Prime and Shorty fixed the settings on the server to get it all working. I tweaked it so the whole thing would start up again. What an awesome team effort!

Highest props of the hour go to Lasse, whose code it is in the first place. The whole system truly is pure genius.

Time to update your sigs :)

//edit: oh yes, and I updated the star rankings as well, as you will see if you click on them :)

anyone know how to make scrolling gifs... I do not want to take up so much space on my sig so I want to scroll them 2 at a time... I figure I'll have as many as 6... Anyone?

    marque tags I think.

Great job keebs. Are there going to be the helix's for points above 100k. Several members are already at the max.

Helixes are on my list of things I would like to add to the sig generator. That's actually the easiest one. :) I should be able to add that functionality next week. (Going home for the weekend in 4 hours, plus I'm moving next week... that's about all I'll have time for).

I've made some test helixes and put them on the stars page. Click on the stars in anyone's sig to check it out. They're the last 3 right now (obviously I'll fill in the intermediate ones if you guys think they're all right).

    i think they look cool

since they are so small it would probably be tough to figure out what they are, but since i know already its not a problem

Yeah, but it's the same with the cogs. If you didn't know what it was or that we use the cog as a symbol of folding, you'd be hard-pressed to guess.

Neat. But wow is that a LOT of code to put in your sig!
  • edited July 2003
    Thanks General!

I changed my sig in such a way so that people might look at what really matters:

    My stats!;D

But all that code makes the system very efficient :)

btw, I lied about the helix update. It's ready right now :) As soon as the next update takes place between 6 and 7, the updated file will get written into the code.

another btw, the milestones/sigs just updated perfectly without any help from me right on schedule for the very first time about 20 minutes ago :D:D:D

//edit: oh yes, I forgot to mention I know the shadow option makes a shadow that's entirely too big. One of these days, I may figure out how to fix it... :p (don't hold your breath)

;D Yeah, for some reason the eye is just drawn right to your stats.

At least I've got that jenniferkorbin.zip file secure on my PC...

Is it just me? Seems most people are missing their folding stats as well

The sigs last updated successfully at 9:40 last night, I think.

I made a small change to the file that controls the update function to track the ICx/SMx rigs better, and I think I made an error :(

The file that stores stats was written with SM15_Folding_Frog over and over again instead of the correct stats... oops...

Shorty will likely e-mail me the file ASAP and I'll try to correct it as soon as I can. I'm at home with no server access and a modem connection right now.

I just HAD to make one more little improvement before I left...

Not small enough, from the looks of things!;D

Don't sweat it - we appreciate your time and effort. I'm sure things will be back to normal soon.

Though "normal" around here is another subject altogether...
    :vimp:
