Top job guys. Got to love all those flags. Gives the site a much more international feel.
When i first came across Short-Media, i thought of it as being an American site. Did not realise there were members from ALL over the world. Even got a heap of Poms, lol.
For those that don't know the word Pom, it is actually POME......Prisoner Of Mother England. That's us downUnder.......just a bunch of bloody convicts, hehehe. This is the affactionate word we use for the "English". It is mostly used in "put down" sentences, like.....Whinging Poms.
You see, the English :ukflag: migrate to our Sunburnt country :ausflag: , with our sun, sand and flies. All they do is complain. "It's too hot!"......"Bloody flies!"......."It's much better Back Home!".
Well, if it is so much better "Back Home", POQ then, hehehe. See.....bloody whinging Poms,
To stop this thread from deteriating into a flaming match, i'll answer on behalf of our Good English :ukflag: friends myself.
(been hanging out to use this one)
Ok, i deserve that. Me goes looking for my fire-proof suit, to try and survive, hehehe.
ps.....i speak with authority on this subject........cause i married a Pom.
Back on the thread subject. Thanks folks.

How can one be happy that thee be the offspring of the lowest of the low of English society?
I think they're all brilliant, though the Welsh one needs to be changed to pressx's newer one.
As for whinging poms, course we whinge, it IS too bloody hot and the flies? don't go out without your cork strewn hat or they'll eat ya. You see, we send you all out there all expenses paid and do we get a post card or anything? No! We get Rolf Harris. And they wonder why we whinge.
Two things I've noticed about Aussies. Number One: Get enough of 'em in a room together and you've got trouble. Number Two: Once the dust settles they'll be crowding the bar to buy the next round for each other.
About the same time i admit to being a naturalised Australian. Born in Holland, 1947 near the Belgian border. Lived in Amsterdam for 11 years. Came to Perth, West Oz in 1964, got Aussie citicenship in 1970 and never been out of the country.
Met this wonderful Pommie sheila from Weymouth, Dorset in 1971 and been married to her ever since.
NZ relatives, eh. I can feel more sheep jokes coming on, hehehe.
Now, own up short one.
