been skulking around the forum, looking at ways to make my case's innards look cleaner... then i was flipping through some old issues of MaximumPC, and caught sight of the PC Power and Cooling Turbocool thingy 51o uber-expensive PSU... the cables were all covered with flex-wrap. I copied it, and now it looks so much cleaner.. all i have to do now, is figure out a way to better route my IDE cables.. you neeed 1/4inch flexwrap for the molexes and 1/2inch flexwrap for the mobo cable.. and you need 1/2inch shrinkwrap too. and some black zip-ties for good measure.

Before... and after...

Yep, done about three psu's now, and about to do a fourth one (Fortron 120mm) this weekend. Vantec do a very nice cable sleeving kit in many differnt colours and include all the bits you need. I'd also recommend a molex removal tool and hobby craft heat gun as it makes the whole job alot easier. Finally be prepared to make a wiring diagram if you have to do the main atx lead & don't do what i did on my first attempt which was to re-wire it in reverse! Needless to say the results were:

    a. Spectacular, nice blue flashes & sparks from all around the motherboard & psu :)
    b. Disastrous for said motherboard, cpu & psu :(
