I have an fx5200 and i am trying to overclock it. But with the forceware drivers it refuses to overclock what ever value i give to it , coolbit says it failed to pass the test. Then i installed detonator drivers it allows me to overclock the memmory in both 2d and 3d and core in 2d without any test. But the core frequancy in 3d is still not changing because i have to test it before applying. I have used rivatuner gforcetweak utility and nv hardpage also but no one is working.

Maybe there's not enough cooling on the card?

no heating problem because it has a good heatsink and fan. Also heating will accur when higher frequancies are applied. but i cannot even apply them.

But if the heatsink is full of dust and/or the fan isn't working properly, it could very well overheat at stock speeds.
