I just remembered this funny incident
It is regarding my present cpu.
My dad had bought himself a barebone system.
It contained an Athlon 1800+ retail.
I had recently acquired my Abit NF7-S rev. 2.0 and I was chugging along with my ancient ADFA Athlon T-bird.
Not very funny, new mb and stuck with the ancient processor that refuses to be OC'ed very much.
Oh well he offered me to take a look at the 1800+ processor.
I had been browsing around for a super 1700+ but they were rather expensive and not widely available.
He pulled the heatsink off, and there it was, a jiuhb dut3c retail processor.
I was very interested indeed, even though it was not the dlt3c I had hoped for.
Then he offered me to take it home and check it out.
I could not refuse that offer.
I went home with the processor and out went the old t-bird.
In went the new one, I went into the bios and bumped the speed up to 2.0 Ghz (200x10) it booted and worked fine.
But Prime95 reported an error.
I went into the bios again and upped the voltage to 1.7V.
Now it passed with flying colours.
Needless to say my dad never saw this processor again.
I paid him for it and he went out and bought himself a 2400+.
We were both happy with that deal.
I just thought I wanted to share my little cpu love story with you guys.
I have had the cpu for quite some time, but it was only recently I thought of writing this little post.
Now that I am getting a new PSU I should be able to find the limits of this little baby.:D

Nice of your dad to help you out!
Recently he threw a Celeron 400 at me, later I sold it to my sister.
She needed an upgrade badly, she was using my old K6-200, it was way too slow.
Free computer for me, sold it to my siter and made a small profit.
That is called business.
I had to help this guy again the other day.
One of his drives had suddenly dropped the FAT.
It was a FAT32 drive.
The drive appeared empty but it was not.
I ran some recovery software and retrieved approx. 10,000 images.
As you might have guessed, he was quite happy.
But how can a drive suddenly loose its FAT?
BTW after recovering all of his images I tried running scandisk.
Guess what, it reported no errors.
I reckon that he lost no more than 5 images in this ordeal.
Not too bad, all things considered.
