Alrighty, so Everquest 2 is coming out this Tuesday and since I was a big fan of the original Everquest I plan on getting EQ2. I was just wondering if anyone else on the forums plans on getting it.
I have a check here from my roomate of $90(though he still owes me more..)
It's going towards the special edition... We are going to buy it together when we can, I'll be paying for this game and EVE Online every month, though this means I won't be playing WoW. http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/243366.asp
whats the min and max system requirements for that game anyways?
Windows 98/2000/ME/XP; 1GHz processor or greater; 512 MB RAM; DirectX 9 compatible video card. Pixel shader and vertex shader compatible hardware with 64 MB of texture memory; 56k+ Internet connection; DirectSound compatible audio hardware; Internet connection and monthly fee required

Well hey if your gonna play let me know what server your gonna play on tomorrow (if you get it tomorrow) and we can group up or what not.
Okay me and my friends were planning on playing on the Mistmoore server. Oh and btw the local EB was selling EQ2 today only problem was they only had the cd version, which cosists of 10 cds. I was like yikes, I'll wait till tomorrow to get my dvd edition.
I dunno where the EB is around here, but I did try Best Buy and Game Stop, I have to wait till Thursday to get it though. I did however pay for it... $95.86 or so for the Collectors Ed.
im actualy on a pretty extensive quest just to get the damn game, well it all started about a week before the game released when i preordered a collectors edition copy from gamestop, told that it would be in for the 11/9 release. so i went on the 9th at 12am, seen as how they were open for some halo game release, and to my disapointment i was told that they had not received the game yet but i was assured that it would come in later on the 9th with their 11am game shipment. i go home go to sleep and go to school in the morning leave school at 11, luckily my car wouldnt start in the morning cuz my gas froze overnight so i had to walk 3 miles home to get my car, to go pick up my game. so i get there and i was again informed that they dont have it... im pretty pissed off at this point seen as how i preordered a game payed 90 dollars and dont have it the day of release. i was told that there was a messup with the shipment but for sure posative balalbalalabla they will have it on thursday. ok, im fairly forgiving, pissed but forgiving. so today i call and i talk to some girl who informs me that the collectors edition wont release form them until the 16th... so i go over there and ask wtf is up and tell them i want my money back right now. the guy says that hes sure that it will be there tommarow so, i guess tommarow will be the day that decides weather or not everyone will be reading in the paper about a disgruntled customer going ballistic on a gamestop franchise.
anyways, when i do get the game i will some day be trying to catch up to all my friends and teachers, who are already playing for a week by the way, on the UNREST server. i was planning on playing a warlock named voldemort but thanks to gamestop i highly doubt i will be getting that name.
Has anyone tried something like NWN on a persistant world server like "Avlis"? Should be something to try. It's basically what I thought NWN online should have been when it first came out... (It's an RP server btw).
Sony's name policy expressly includes a ban on any name from a copywritten work. When you violate the name policy, a GM comes along and forces you to change your name. The more popular the source of the name, the more likely you are to get nabbed.
The name Voldemort is both popular, and copywritten. GMs would bust you in a jiffy.
Alright yeah I'm on Mistmoore too my characters name Saear, my two friends are playing and their names are Dukkil and Mack. My char is a DE Warrior, I'm going to be a Shadowknight. So send me a tell tongiht or tomorrow and we can group up or something.
Yeah I think what she was saying that we're paying for a game that isn't 'finished'. You know like a joke or something. But trust me. It's probably had one of the smoothest launches in MMORPG history so far.

I'll probably be a DE, and if all goes well my name will be Sanuuil.
i was thinking either good DE or even HE, i haven't exactly decided yet, but a HE necro would be really amusing
ps HE=High Elf not half-elf
plus, i explained what my abbreviation meant
i hate this game
what the hell? im gonna try eb later, its such a long drive tho
Can't wait.... though I shouldn't have :bawling:
Sanuuil, DE, Mistmoore
