Question on Cases

edited November 2004 in Hardware
I just got a question, a simple one. From all the cases I have seen the windows are always on the left (view from front) unless its all clear. Are there any that are opposite??

and if so why dont they make them?

If you put the window on the other side, you wouldn't see anything other than the flat empty rear of the motherboard....

the Lian-Li case that has the window on the right mounts the motherboard upside down tho. There's no reason to have a window on both sides of a case.

I forgot to include with the motherboard on the other side.

so everything the same except the motherboard is on left and the window on the right

ive seen windows on both sides done custom, but they did it because they cut out the back of the motherbboard tray so you could see the back of the mobo and lined the bus with uv pen or something, unless your planning on doing something like that theres really no point. if your just trying to make your case look sweet you should udalize that unseen space back there to tuck wires to give the inside of your case a cleaner look.

All ATX motherboards are all built to be mounted on the right (looking from the front of the case) All the I/O ports and expansion slots wouldn't be in the back of the case if you simply change sides. That's why ;) If you're not a person you can flip the sides in your mind and realize the ports would be pointed inside the case... someone can draw a quick diagram I'm sure.
