Hey gang, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a black facelate for my Pioneer DVD R/RW Model # DVR105? I've been looking around and even tried going over to ModAsylum to ask, but it's not up. Rebuilding the site I guess.
Any help would be appreciated. Thnx all.

White faceplate + screwdriver to remove plate (possibly) + black vinyl dye = black drive ;)

Cool Geeky, Never thought of dyeing it with vinyl dye. I was thinking of using a special paint that adheres to plastic though, which I'm sure would have been a project. Paint filling slots and such. Thnx for the idea.

np. It ought to work... I'm pretty sure I've heard of it being done before... might wanna try it on an old drive first now that I think about it more, but it's worth a shot. :)

try krylon fusion....just like vinyl dye it bonds to the plastic creating a more permanent finish (i.e.....it won't chip!)

If you want to spend a couple of bucks, just get a local airbrush arteest to blow some black paint on it...

side note, pioneer warranties void with the removal of the face plate. I use about 80 pioneer dvd ram drives a month. (ram drives are +- rw drives that take both dvd disk and dvd cartridges and they do both sides of the dvd giving u 9.4 gig of storage)
