Sale - Appropriate?

I am going to be having a sale after Christmas. Do you guys want me to post the deals here first? If you think it is not appropriate then I will not.

I will have things like a 15" TFT Multimedia for £149 and some printers at half RRP etc. I want to get rid of some stock to make room for new stuff. Alternatively I could post that there is a list available and people could PM/Email me for it? I do not want to seem like I am pimping my shop here....

    PressX. Thanks for posting your 'sneak preview'. Your question concerning appropriateness of 'pimping' your wares here is good, in that it gives me the opportunity to explain to the members when and when not this type of thing is allowed.

    We, the Staff allow it when:

    1) The offered items truely are a significant value (the "Deal" in Deal Depot & Trading Post)

    2) The buyer may purchase the items through one-on-one trade-style dealings - private message, personal email, PayPal or equivalent, money order...

    In short, we don't allow this when it smacks of SPAM - commercial site from non-forums member where the goods must be purchased through the site.

    Thanks for the info Leo. All my "Amazing Bargains" will be through me. The "Great Buys" will be listed here soon. I will try not to push my "Fantastic Deals" here too much. It makes me look shallow. ;D
