Not my style either  Beauty is in the eye though......

You gotta love the Motherboard with 4 DIMMS filled though :)

I admit upfront I know nothing about this chipset but I have a lot of experiance with VIA, dual cpu's and servers. I want my servers stable and so far VIA anhd stable are sorta mutualy exclusive terms... (LMAO)

Until a lot of feedback was in I would choose another chipset for a dual Opteron. VIA would have to really prove it knew what "stable" meant for me to build a server box around their chipset. They know OC but server stuff is totaly differant.

What´s the proof that it is an actual dual opteron board?
Does MSI ship their board with heatsinks on the mosfets? I hardly believe that, but i may be wrong.

Man what an ugly case. He should be sent to San Quentin just for modding it like that.

Actually Mack, it probably is a dual Opteron... look at the heatsink mountings. It's either an Opteron or a Xeon, and AFAIK, MSI doesn't make red dual Xeon boards. Also, yes, MSI does ship some of their boards with heatsinks on their mosfets...

Not to cause a riot, but I like the INSIDE of the case... the polished aluminum reflecting the components looks neat. The outside is godawful...

Most Athlon systems have a VIA chipset in them (Historically speaking) and they're fine & perfectly stable. Especially if you bought quality components and from a top tier motherboard manufacturer (Asus, MSI, and others).

If MSI is using the VIA K8HT800 chipset I'm certain it's 100% stable. If you can't trust Via, you can certainly trust MSI.
