Toshiba notebook cooling

edited December 2005 in Hardware
Hi,

I bought a Toshiba notebook a year back. Now I got a problem with cooling fan.As soon as the notebook is started loud noise is coming & after some time it is shutdown automatically.I have adware remover installed in my notebook. Is that causing the problem?I showed it in service center. They said the fan is not spinning & needs to be replaced. If I want to replace the cooling fan where can I get it?Any help?

Thanks,
um

    Yes, the fan is dead.
No, software couldn't have caused it.
Yes, the fan needs to be replaced.
And no, you can't do it yourself. Notebooks use proprietary fans. Have the service center replace it.
