You should be able to set any lower multiplier that you want to.
    What mobo are you using?

    Did I miss the question?
You need to raise the bus and lower the multiplier.
You can use the wire trick to raise the bus, if BIOS won't do it.
Just remember to set a lower multi when you do.
On my current mobos these settings are all in the bios.

    That's the point.I can't make lower multiplier.Just 15x It's too much.
    166 x 15 = 2490 with big Vcore 1.9V is possibile , but 200 x 15 = 3000 it is too much for my mobo . ? or athlon xp 2400

kristian, if your Thorton's multi is hard locked, you are in for a difficult or impossible time setting a lower multi. The only way I can possibly think of to have a chance to be able to adjust the multi on a hard locked AMD proc is to mod that Thorton to be a mobile proc. That will require you to cut quite a few bridges and connect at least 1 back that's already cut. You would probably be better off selling that Thorton and buying a mobile XP.

how can I do it ? (thorton to mobile)

If I remember right, you have to cut a bunch of the L5 and L6 bridges (I think) and then you need to use a windows app to change the multi and fsb speed. I've never read a detailed how-to on doing this however.

As I said before, you will be better off just buying a mobile XP instead, which are already multi unlocked, and sell that Thorton if you want to run 200 fsb or higher.

If you check the Mobile Barton Thread, you'll find that that's the most overclockable processor. It isn't unheard of to get 2.6GHz on air.

As for me, I have one running at 2.4GHz and another running at 2.5GHz. I was in a hurry when I did those, so I'm pretty sure I'm not at their ceiling.

Here is one new. AXMG2600FQQ4C AQYHA 0427GPCW
What is better solution :? 10 x 235 MHz or 11.5 x 200 MHz , bigest FSB or multiplier.Higher FSB is better just for memory.

FSB overclocking is superior, as long as your memory and other motherboard components can handle it. FSB overclocking increases the speed of not only the CPU, but also the communications buses on the motherboard. Multiplier overclocking only increases the CPU frequency.
