I like my Toshiba Sat. pro, But after lugging it around China for two weeks I am in the market for a lighter machine.

Where can I get good data and reviews on protable computers?? I have tried a few places with no luck.
I know that you guys know. Please tell me where to go. (let me rephrase that)
tks ed

www.dynamism.com has the smallest & lightest notebooks in the world. Outside of Laptop magazine, which is passable at best, there isn't much that I've found in the way of laptop reviews. Just look @ the hardware specs and go with something decent is the best you can do...

How light were you looking btw? Sager/PowerPro have some Centrino notebooks that are pretty lightweight but still pretty powerful.... www.powernotebooks.com sells them.

A friend of mine showed us his boss's new toy the other day... a brand new Toshiba Centrino notebook that weighed all of 3.9 pounds and is the smallest fully featured notebook I've ever seen, right down to the CD-RW/DVD Combo drive. I'm not sure of the model number on it, but it runs about 1800 bucks.

my T40 from IBM rocks. It has an 80GB hard drive, 1.6Ghz Pentium-M(Centrino), ATI Mobility 9000, 512MB of RAM, weighs about 3.9lbs, has good resolution, has trackpoint and a touchpad, wireless A/B. Its got tons of features, it portable, and easy to use. Definitly worth a look.

    Hey, I don't need micro.
My Toshiba works great, but it is 7.4 lbs and 1.9" thick.
If I can get as much function in less than 4lbs I'll be real happy.
    Some great leads guys.
If you come across anything else let me know.
