I am the proud, soon to be, father of SM-19. I want to make sure it folds it's guts out, thus, I want to OVERCLOCK it. What are the recomendations for heat sink... I'm flipping for it since I'm the one OCing it, money is not a big issue (under $50 would be nice). Heck I donated $40 to the DVD fund another $50 to the cause is nothing.

I'm pretty sure everyone's gonna tell you that the SLK-800 or 900 is the way to go....

    Athlon/P4: SLK-900(U)

If you don't have a board with mounting holes for the Athlon, the SK-7 is good. For the money I'll say the SK-7 is better, but if you want to OC like mad the SLK-900 is probably your best bet for air.

Just like Prime predicted, SLK-900, SLK-800, SK-7, in that order of preference.

Uhhh dont bother. Its only going to be a 1.4 TBird on a gigabyte kt400 board so I dont think its going to OC that far. Thats if I get confirmation on either.

And you want to guy one for SM19? One was to be donated to you but its not going to be anything near a SK7 prolly.

Newegg doesn't list a fan with these.... What 80mm fan should I get?

    VANTEC's ThermoFlow TF8025 Temperature Control (23 - 41 CFM)

    VANTEC's Tornado (Double Ball-Bearing) Fan (84 CFM).

I may swap CPU's with one that I have reserved for my upcoming rig. That's a few months off but I want SM-19 to start off with a bang!!! I have a 1800+ that I may donate for now. The 1.4 can go into my daughter's homework PC.

The Thermoflow won't work- the thermistor is on the fan frame- it'll never speed up. Get a Thermaltake SmartFan 2. Best 80mm fan on the market, bar none.

um...1.4 tbirds were still ok o/c'rs... i ran mine @ 1.7ghz, although she was pretty warm, but that was with a vantec cck6035d delta38 screamer...im sure the newer heatsinks will keep her well within specs...just dont forget to use the pencil trick to unlock the multi's and have u'll have it running nice

SK7 is cheap if you must do this. Get the sunon 50cfm since it has lifetime warranty. www.svc.com would total about 30 shipped for this combo. Please don't bother with the SLK series - just get some nanotherm PCM with the remainder of the money.

how to apply straight from nanotherm

Ask frozencpu if they are shipping those "finger condoms" with your PCM. If not then the nanotherm guy will give you one free.
