I do believe you said something about a 2.5GHz TBred not being enough to beat your 3DMark score...

    2.51 on Air!

Is that going to be your regular setup? or are you going to take the 119CFM fan out and clock it down a bit?

My system is running @ 2.362 (214x11, though it's really 214.77) right now. Until I get a better fan I know that's going to be my limit . . . that might be the limit even with a better fan. We'll see.

// Edit: What is the AGP bus set at? If you change it to 70MHz do you think that would help any? You know Thrax probably isn't going to just sit there and let you beat his score without a dog fight. :)

    Oh bloody hell.

18400 is my new target score. I can't let this crap slide. Somehow I'm going to get 18400.

Oh yes. When I get home, I'm reformatting and installing some additional tweaks.

    //edit:

I just noticed that your GPU core was 41MHz faster than mine, Geeky. There's your extra 130 3dmarks you beat me with. ;D I have an old Radeon from February that doesn't go past 351 very nicely... Feh. I'll beat you anyways.

A2J, no way in hell this is going to be my day-to-day setup. Although the thing is totally stable (not one cpu-induced crash, even thru F@H), I don't like pushing 1.93v thru a cpu designed for 1.5 for an extended period of time, and I don't want to kill this CPU. Besides, I can hear the stupid thing OUTSIDE my room with the door closed with that tornado in there... It may not be super loud, but it's loud enough that using it all the time would drive me insane.

But for benchmarking purposes, it's bearable :D

Cyrix, no it didn't. BUT, when I went to shut it down, it said "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that" and made me unplug it

Thrax, I guess I'll just have to overclock it to 2.6GHz then ;);D

Mack, I didn't have internet access on my desktop last night- the DSL is acting up and SBC made me take out all my networking hardware while they try to fix the problem (again)...

And it's Geeky1 ahead by a nose now as we head for the canal turn, Thrax bringing up the rear and OH NO, He's stumbled, But he's ok, he's recovered and chasing Geeky1. Thrax has started using the whip, Oh the way he's beating that poor thing. Still Geeky1 by a length and Thrax flogging away but he just can't catch Geeky1. Thrax is visibly perspiring now and looking very determined but Geeky1 looks round and waves at him, I do believe Thrax is muttering. What a race folks, what a race.

    bothered.

Sounds like the SBC guys there are as big of morons there as they are here. The worst part is having to deal with the real yoyo's that work in their tech help center to get them to schedule a repair. I often wish I could crawl through the phone line and shove my foot up their @$$ while my fist reams their nostrils. (sorry for getting carried away):banghead:

MTGoat- it's not THAT bad... it's only been non-functional for 6 weeks total since March, and it's only been dead slow (300 kiloBITS down, 100 up) for 3 weeks. If they don't get it fixed this time, I'm telling them to take the contract and shove it where the sun don't shine since they aren't providing me with the bandwidth I'm paying for, and getting cable.

Patience, patience, patience. Pretty soon al here will be springing for a 9800 pro or greater. So far my setup (with a NON PRO) has been able to barely nudge 17,000, but when i put that card into my system there is no way any of you will catch up.

The small place i bought them from had 2 left from the same "Y", week 30 batch. I just had to grab them.

The "Y" batch is probably the first cheap Barton 2500 that is a 2,5 gig+ proof. Newegg used to have them but they are gone. Only way to find them is from small places like i got them from.
